Muslimah Dress for Frankie Stein

Another dress that ordered for Frankie Stein from Monster High Doll collection is a muslimah dress complete with th hijab. So here I am making one for Frankie Stein.

I choose the fabric with blue flower to match up the body colour of Frankie Stein. She sure look pretty with the outfit :)

Red and White Dress for Frankie Stein

My friend's daughter saw a barbie doll that given to me by another friend. She asked why my friend is giving the doll to me. My friend told her that I need this doll to be a mannequin for doll clothes I made. And she ask me whether I can make clothes for her Monster High Doll. And I said, I can make it but she has to lent me the doll because I don't have the doll.

So here I am doing the new project. I am not a fans of monster high dolls, but sure I can make one or two dresses for Frankie Stein.

Clothes for John Cena's Doll

I got a challenge to make John Cena's doll clothes from my friend children. So I create 3 pieces of clothes, one T-shirt, one sleeveless shirt and a sarong. 

Green Helmet

Few days ago I worked on this helmet. It made of plastic egg that come with candies or stuffs inside and craft foam. The idea come from My Froggy Stuff. Fortunately my nephew had this small skateboard. So I be able to take this pictures. Even though barbie would love a scooter :)

Source of Ideas

Do you ever wonder where the ideas of making dresses and other stuffs come from? I listed some of them on my blog walking on the right side of this page. My favorites are My Froggy Stuff, Fashion Doll Shoes, Crochet for Barbie & Miss B. Couture. There so many ideas come from them. Beside that sometime the idea just pop up in my mind or after I see in magazines. So...the ideas can come from everywhere. Hope this can give you and idea where you can look around :)

3 Tier Blue Dress

I got this inspiration from here and with different size crochet needle, it turn out into different long of dress. My dress a little bit hard to push up, it a little bit to tight around the hips. But still, this is a pretty dress and I like it. 

Dresses from a Pair of Socks

A niece of mine was born last November. So she's getting bigger everyday and her little socks didn't fit anymore. After I got permission to turn the socks into barbie dresses I start to use my imagination and browse some video in youtube. And...this is how I turn a pair of socks into, little pink dresses. You can use zigzag stitch to prevent it from fraying. I haven't done mine.

Chain Necklace with Leaf Pendant

Wow...the time really goes by. I have some dress and necklace I made a long time ago but just had time to post it right now. 

This is two kind of necklaces I made some times ago. A necklace with leaf pendant just as lovely as other necklaces. 

Hello Kitty Face Pillow

When thinking about making Michelle birthday gift, I crossed with a cute pictures of Hello Kitty and thinking about make a face pillow. 

Making a pattern on a piece of a paper and then copied the pattern to white felt fabric, and I sewed across the edge. Fill the pillow with stuffing and finish up to sewed the edge. Then I make stitches for the eyes and nose. Add a red felt to make a bow and sew it to the white felt.

But I think I forget something... I forget to make stitches for the cat whiskers. Oh well... I sew it next time I visit my niece :) 

Update 23/02/14:
I had the chances to work on the whiskers today. So I'll post the picture after I sew on the whiskers.

Hello Kitty Bedcover & Pillows

My niece just turn 7 last July. If people ask what kind of gifts she wanted for her birthday, she will say something with Hello Kitty themes. Meanwhile she ask me something for her barbie just like last year. It took me 2 months to finished up the request because I still have no idea what to make. And then I remember that she had barbie's bed but hasn't had bedcover. So I decided to make bedcover and matching pillows.

At first I was thinking to make bedcover with fabric I have at home but then it cross my mind to matched barbie's bed set with hers. She plan to decor her room with Hello Kitty themes. So I decided to make Hello Kitty theme bedcover and pillows.

It took me 2 hours to work on it but it took me forever to find Hello Kitty theme fabrics. Finally I found a fabric that could work nicely as bedcover and pillows with small enough Hello Kitty on it. The fabric is the one you used to wrap a newborn baby. So the fabric almost feel like felt, smooth and soft but not as thick as felt.

Since my niece had a pull out bed, I make 2 bedcovers and 4 pillows. I also make one Hello Kitty face pillow from felt as decorative pillow.

What Barbie Can Dream Of

Found this Vespa at the airport last week. This is really what Barbie can dream of (or is it me? :p). This Vespa has 1:6 scale, just about the right size for Barbie. It cost about Rp. 700.000 (or around 62 USD). I didn't buy this, so if somebody would like to give me this as a gift, I would really love that :) It also available for 1:12 scale.

Red & White Gown

Finally, I was able to finished up this gown. I've been working since end of January until early of June 2013. It turn out into a lovely gown. I still have to put snap button on the back and trim the excessive yarn. I forgot where I got the pattern, but I'll try to search my collection and update the source later on.

The gown made of no. 10 cotton red yarn and white acrylic yarn. At the end of red yarn, I put beads to make it prettier. 

I really love this gown... I need to find a matching shoes and make a purse for this dress. And I need to take proper pictures.

Longest Time To Make a Dress

It's been a while since my last post. At the moment I am working with the longest time took for a dress. Working this dress for more than 2 months. Still try to finish it up. I believe it would turn into pretty dress. Picture was take on February 5th 2013.

Chain Necklaces with Beads Pendant

Been busy last few days but I have one ready to post story. 

This necklace inspired by plenty of necklace pictures and My Froggy Stuff. So I ask one of my neighbor who has accessories maker business for some chain and beads. And it turn out pretty. Planning to make some more of this things.

Beads Necklaces

I had a little bit problem to named this necklaces. This necklaces copied from my mother in law necklace. To bad, this are the smallest beads I can get. So it still looks to big for barbie, although still nice. 

Colorful Necklaces

Purple & Black Pinstripe Outfit

Another dress I made last month. Yes...last month I made 5 or 6 clothes and am still working with another one. I got the pattern from here. To match the outfit, I made a strapless top with black as dominant color. On the last picture I match the outfit with white tank top own by Liv Doll. It turn out pretty nice.

Red Felt Blouse & Leggings

This blouse was made after My Froggy Stuff upload the tutorial in YouTube. Actually this was tutorial for making a sweater but I only have felt that similar to fleece. So this is a modified blouse. Meanwhile I made the leggings long time ago. I got the pattern when browsing the free pattern in here. I love this outfit <3<3<3

Silver & Black Bracelets

My doll had new bracelets. I bought this a while ago but I just had time to write the story. This are actually earrings. Each pairs only cost me Rp. 1000 or about US$ 0,01. Yeah...that cheap. I bought 2 pairs, silver and black. And of course I love this new accessories.
