My Half Barbie

The tittle may sound funny. But that's a fact. Not really half in physically but more like the ownership. My sister & I bought this barbie after we collect some point in one of supermarket. We can bought it with small amount of money if we have a certain amount of point. Since my sister didn't have a barbie so we bought this barbie. So it's only half mine. Although in reality I played this barbie most of the time.

Peach Dress

Another dress made by my late aunt. She made it so smooth compared to the one I made back then...

Tosca Green Dress

This dress also made by my late aunt just like my pink & grey dress. She made some other dresses.

Pink & Grey Dress

This dress was made by my late aunt. She's the one inspired me to learn how to crochet. She made plenty of dresses for my barbie and my sister's skipper. I still keep it until now.

First Clothes for First Barbie

This is one of clothes I made for my first barbie. Simple cut and hand sewing only. Not bad for a young girl :) I made this maybe when I was about 13 or 14 years old.

Brocade Gown

Yes, I finally give a shower and hair wash to my barbie. She looks better now. I also had a change to looked into my old box and found some old dresses. I'll try to write a few articles about it. The first one will be the dress that made by one of my relatives. At that time she stayed at my house because she's on treatment for her cancer. While stayed at home, she made a gown for my barbie. Made from left over family dress material from my aunt's wedding dress. This is one of my favorite dress at that time. It was hand sewing.

Black Felt Jacket

This time I make the jacket with the same pattern I made for Steffi. The difference are in color and felt thickness. This is also had different neckline. The belt create with a silver lace as an accent to the jacket. With a match tote bag, Barbie ready to go.

Felt Vest

Easy vest to make. I got the pattern from here. I made it from black felt and add a ribbon on the bottom of the vest as decoration. 

Hat for Barbie

Some dress will be perfect if you add a hat in it. Or if you planning to go to the beach. Even Barbie need a hat. So far I make 3 crochet hat. One for Steffi and 2 for my Barbie. Planning to make some more if I found a nice hat pattern.

Blue Jacket

I still had plenty of blue yarn. So I decided to make a jacket. I use pattern from this blog but it didn’t turn out as I expected. Maybe because the yarn is to thick. I also did some modification from the pattern. Dark blue accent in jacket make it look nicer.

My Very First Barbie

I remember bought a Barbie doll when I was in elementary school. I used my own money to buy the doll. It was Beach Blast Barbie (1989) with a blond hair and a hair clip that can change color into pink if you exposed it to the sun. At the same time my sister bought Skipper (Beach Blast Skipper). 

I always like played with my barbie. After a while I think my barbie need more clothes. So I start to make a simple clothes made of cotton, jeans and other old material I can found. At that time, I was able to used sewing machine or hand sewing. 

Besides clothes, I make barbie's bed. My sister bought pool side chair from some toy seller. It was a quite cheap. I also make Barbie's closet from shoe box. 

Beside sewing Barbie dress, I also learn to make crochet dress. One of my late aunt taught me how to crochet. At that time, I have plenty of dress with minimal budget.
